WELCOME to the Physician Recruitment Taskforce web site. We are a group originally formed by the Chamber of Commerce to respond to the critical shortage of healthcare workers in our community. Our primary objective is to recruit Family Physicians. In the course of fulfilling our mandate, we also assist in the recruitment of specialists, nurses, physiotherapists and a variety of other primary healthcare workers.
Family Physicians are a vital component of service infrastructure. Adequate medical service is important to the well-being of our residents, and an element businesses, industries and professionals consider when choosing an operating location. It is important that we have adequate primary health care for everyone.
The Taskforce is comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors and one full-time staff member, Andrea Hynes, Physician Recruiter Coordinator, who reports directly to the board.

ABOUT US The Physician Recruitment Taskforce of Sarnia Lambton was formed to combat the severe shortage of Family Physicians in the Sarnia Lambton Area. Since its inception in 2001, the Taskforce has recruited more than 17 Family Physicians and assisted with the recruitment of many specialists. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to marketing Sarnia Lambton to prospective Family Physicians and their families. We do this by attending medical recruitment fairs both in the US and in Canada, by promoting our opportunities online, by networking with other physician recruitment organizations and by establishing relationships with key medical resources such as the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario, the Ministry of Health & Long Term Care and the Ontario Medical Association to name a few. Geographic area of work: Our main areas of work align with the under serviced area of Sarnia- including Sarnia and Point Edward, Township of St. Clair, Dawn-Euphemia, Plympton Wyoming and Petrolia.
